Contents
The following topics will be studied: health concepts and major determinants of health; measuring health and sources of health information epidemiological study design; analysis and interpretation; exposure information; investigation outbreaks; field studies and handling data from epidemiological monitoring; health risk assessment; adverse health effects from infectious, chemical and physical agents in the outdoor and indoor environment, such as communicable diseases, air and water pollution, indoor climate and pollutants, noise, ioinizing radiation and magnetic fields.
Required Knowledge
In order to enter the course a student must have obtained Pass grades in relevant first year courses at the Environmental Health Program or possess equivalent qualifications
