Contents

The course is aimed at students without previous experience of studies in the area of industrial design. The goal of the course is to give the student a possibility to explore the practice and the understanding of form, in order to train and develop skills and abilities, and to prepare for and facilitate participation in the curricular education on courses and programmes in industrial design. The course focus is on promoting an exploratory and investigative approach to form. Typical exercises would motivate the students to continue their own experiments and personal development in the area of form. This form study course is divided into two parts, a self study through a recommended reading of books and articles which would be followed with practical assignments and exercises in two and three dimensional visualisation. The course also aims to introduce specific concepts and basic theories of form.
