Contents

The course provides training in the student’s ability to specify, plan, implement, and report an individual project work. The student applies knowledge acquired during the studies and focus on the work in one specific study field.
Through the thesis work the student get in contact with research and development in the robotics and control. The project results are presented orally and through a written report. International contacts are encouraged during the thesis.

Required Knowledge

Admission to the course requires that the student completed the course requirements specified in the exam description for a bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) or equivalent.
In addition, required courses of at least 60 ECTS at advanced level, of which 30 ECTS in major field Electronics. It is required that the student completed the following program courses on the Master of Science programme in Robotics and Control: Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (5DV121), Linear Systems (5EL080), Robotics and Control System Basics (5EL096), Control Methods for Robotics Applications (5EL158), and at least one course of Optimal Control for Linear Systems (5EL140), Elements of Iterative Learning and Adaptive Control (5EL139), Telerobotics and Applied Sensor Fusion (5EL194) or equivalent.
Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper Secondary course English A. Where the language of instruction is Swedish, applicants must prove proficiency in Swedish to the level required for basic eligibility for higher studies.
