The goal of the course is to provide knowledge of how to design an embedded system and how to implement the system with proper hard- and software. Contents: Different kinds of embedded processors and microcontrollers, non-volatile memories, serial buses, wireless communication. EMC design considerations, embedded system programming, minimizing power consumption, battery operation. Different kinds of tools like simulators and emulators.
Required Knowledge
Microcomputer Engineering, 15 ECTS or Microcontrollers for embedded systems, 7.5 ECTS or equivalent.
