This is an advanced course in hypermedia, multimedia, virtual reality (including tele-presence and augmented reality), and cyberspace, from the point of view of computer science and cognitive science. In particular, issues of storage, transport and presentation are addressed, as well as human-computer interaction, equipment and applications. In addition, some of the psychological and physiological conditions are reviewed, and sociological, philosophical and social issues are discussed.
Required Knowledge
Univ:To be admitted you must have 60-ECTS credits in Computing Science or 2 years of completed studies, in both cases including Human-Computer Interaction, (5DV002) and Cognitive Science, (5DV010) or equivalent.
English proficiency equivalent to IELTS Academic Training minimum score 5.0 with no individual score below 4.5 (Tests taken before January 2005 not admissible or TOEFL minimum score 500 on paper based test and not below 4.0 on the TWE, Alternatively 173 on computer based test with iBT61 is also required as well as basic entrance requirements for higher studies in Swedish language proficiency if the course is taught in Swedish.
