Contents
An introduction to the Master of Science Programme in Plant and Forest Biotechnology illustrates different aspects of plant and forest biotechnology, followed by an overview of the properties of plant cells. Emphasis is put on 1) Photosynthesis, 2) Carbohydrate metabolism and respiration 3) Plant nitrogen metabolism 4) Organelles and cytoskeleton 5) Intracellular trafficking and 6) Protein synthesis, sorting and degradation. Practicals in molecular, physiological and biochemical methods.
Required Knowledge
15 ECTS Chemistry and 60 credits in Biology, including 30 credits in plant biology and cell- and molecular biology.
