The course is divided into two phases where the first moment, "Migration and integration - from politics to everyday meetings, provides an introduction to migration and integration. We study such as the migration to Sweden is affected by our membership in the EU, the impact of different types of integration policies for immigrants and how immigrants situation is in Sweden and Europe today. Second element, racism and discrimination - public and private, combines a description of the incidence and prevalence of racism and discrimination with perspective on how we can understand and explain its origins and conservation, but also how we can counteract these trends. During both operations, the labor issues, gender and class aspects to be highlighted as well as students' own examples.
