Contents
The aim of the course is to develop a theoretical understanding of some important changes in the social relations of contemporary societies. Central topics within this context are identity formation, social movements and nationalism, changes within family life and sexuality, state and democracy. Special attention will be given to the theoretical issues about racism and ethnicity and the increase in socical inequality.
