Form of instruction

In consultation with the programme supervisor at the department, the student arranges his/her internship and workplace internship supervisor.

Examination modes

Examination
The examination is carried out through an individual written report that describes the structure, content and implementation of the practice. The report must include the student's assessment of the relevance of the education for the tasks performed. The examination also includes the workplace internship supervisor's assessment of how well the student has achieved the goals regarding independence, cooperation and the ability to plan and carry out the tasks.

Grades and re-tests
On the entire course, one of the grades fail (U) or pass (G) will be allocated.

Students who have received a passing grade may not take a re-examination. Students who have not passed the test result have the right to participate in a new test (so-called re-test). For the course-based parts of the course, special rules apply as below.

For the written report, the first re-examination is offered no later than two months after the regular examination opportunity. The exception is the case where the ordinary examination takes place in May or June, when a first re-examination opportunity is offered within three months after the ordinary examination opportunity. In addition, at least one further re-examination is offered within one year from the regular examination opportunity, with the exception of those examinations that require an additional internship period.

In cases where tests cannot be repeated in accordance with current rules for retests, it must instead be replaced by another task, except when the limitation of test opportunities is exceeded. The scope and content of such information must be in reasonable proportion to the missed test.

A student who, without a passing grade, has passed an ordinary examination and a re-examination, has the right to have another examiner appointed at the next re-examination, unless there are special reasons to the contrary. Requests for a new examiner are made to the head of education at the Faculty of Humanities.

Failure of a student during an internship
The responsible examiner has the right, in consultation with the supervisor concerned, to decide to reject a student during an ongoing internship in cases where he or she demonstrates such deficiencies in knowledge, skills or attitudes that these, individually or in combination, entail a significant risk that the student may harm another person physically or mentally. The internship is then terminated prematurely and the student receives the grade failed on the current course. This means that an internship is spent

In connection with a decision on rejection during an ongoing internship, an individual development plan must be drawn up by the examiner in consultation with the student. The development plan must state what knowledge, skills and attitudes the student needs to acquire in order to start an internship again and a time at which control of this must take place. The student is entitled to two such check-ups per year. In total, however, the number of control occasions shall not amount to more than four, unless there are special reasons. If the student at such an inspection opportunity shows that he or she has acquired the knowledge, skills and attitudes stated in the development plan, the student shall have the right to complete a new internship period, provided that the student has not used up his or her internship opportunities.

In other cases where a student fails work-based parts of the course, a follow-up must be done by the examiner in consultation with the student after the end of the course. This must take into account which parts of the expected study results on the course that the student has not achieved. The follow-up must be completed in good time before the student can begin a possible new internship period.

Limitation of examinations
The number of internships a student can complete in order to achieve a passing grade is limited to two. After the application, a third examination opportunity can be granted by the Director of Studies at the Department of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies if there are special reasons.

Deviations from the syllabus' examination form can be made for a student who has a decision on pedagogical support due to a disability. Individual adaptation of the examination form must be considered based on the student's needs. The examination form is adapted within the framework of the syllabus' expected study results. At the request of the student, the course teacher in consultation, in consultation with the examiner, shall promptly decide on an adapted form of examination. The decision must then be notified to the student.

Other regulations
In the event that the syllabus expires or undergoes major changes, students are guaranteed at least two exams (including regular exams) for the work-based parts and three exams (including regular exams) for other parts of the course according to the regulations in the syllabus for which the student was originally registered. for a period of a maximum of two years from the time the previous syllabus has expired, or the course has ceased to be offered.
