At Umeå University, we offer different kinds of individual support if you have a disability. The aim of the support is to ensure that you may pursue your studies under equal terms as your peers. However, if you have a temporary injury or illness, you are not entitled to this support.
Exchange students
In order to ensure that you get the appropriate disability support, your coordinator at your home university must contact the disability coordinator at Umeå University well in advance (4-6 months) before your arrival.
You should also talk to your coordinator at your home university regarding the possibility to apply for an extra grant to cover possible costs for support during your exchange.
International students (free-movers and fee-paying students)
