With 260 courses and interactive online educations the ides is to give more people access to IT courses from Umeå. The new office is the first Addskills office in northern Sweden. They will offer courses to system developers, project leaders and it users in companies and governments.
Many courses are offered as a live class where the teacher is located in a master class facility with students in the room, but the class is also connected to classes around the country. The students in Umeå can participate and communicate directly with the teacher and the other participants with the use of the video conference technology.
For Tobias and Robert the new office was an opportunity to stay in Umeå. They both have a one year master from the IT Management programme and a bachelor exam from the behavioral science programme with focus on IT environments. We have deep knowledge of how IT works in an organization and an understanding of how it affects the whole organization, says Robert who looks forward to start the first courses this fall.
