We conduct research that aims to develop novel measurement and analysis methods that improves the health care and gives an in-depth understanding of different physiological processes.
The biomedical engineering research at Umeå university and Umeå university hospital has had a strong development during the last 15 years and today we conduct internationally competitive research with expertise in the areas of biofluid mechanics, sensors, measuring systems, image analysis, signal analysis and biomechanical modelling.
A trademark of our research projects is that they are performed in close collaboration with clinical researchers, ensuring its relevance.
