The programme is given in English and consists of four semesters of full-time studies (120 credits). It is given with the help of an online learning platform. Sports Medicine is a part of medical science that includes applied exercise physiology and clinical physiology. The Master's programme covers the first of these, applied exercise physiology, which includes the science of physical activity with emphasis on physical exercise, how physical exercise can be applied to prevent and treat ill-health, and improvement of physical performance. Conducting, interpreting and applying physiological tests are used to adapt exercise for individuals and groups based on their circumstances and goals. Sports Medicine covers such subjects as physiology, nutrition, traumatology, kinesiology, medicine and rehabilitation.
