About the course

The course will give an introduction to multivariate data analysis in chemistry and chemical industry. The course comprises the model concept, fit of empirical models to chemical data, statistical experimental design, optimization of chemical processes and projection methods for for visualization of multivariate chemical data and multivariate process data.
The course comprises lectures, exercise in visualization of chemical multivariate process data.The laboratory work illustrates synthesis optimization and analysis of chemical process data.



The course will be given in english if foreign students participate.

Required Knowledge

45 higher education credits obtained in Chemistry courses, or equivalent. English 6/B and Swedish as a general entry requirement for higher studies (if the course is to be conducted in Swedish).

Selection

Students applying for courses within a double degree exchange agreement, within the departments own agreements will be given first priority. Then will - in turn - candidates within the departments own agreements, faculty agreements, central exchange agreements and other departmental agreements be selected.
