About the course

The course focuses on fundamental plasma physics with an emphasis on space plasmas. The course contains Debye screening, perturbation theory for particle motion, magnetohydrodynamics, plasmas in space, Alfvén waves, ambipolar diffusion, ion-acoustic waves, kinetic theory, electron plasma waves and nonlinear phenomena as for example solitons and shock waves.
