The course contains specialised studies within the field of creating and designing sound in combination with form studies and product interaction and consists of the following sections:
1. Experiment with sound, imagery and interaction (3 credits) This section contains short creative exercises where students in groups explore in practise the connections between sound, imagery and interaction and the opportunities of combining and utilizing sound together with design. The students are also introduced to work methods for defining a sound design, relevant hardware for recording and software for sound processing.
2. Project work (4.5 credits) This section contains a creative project where students in groups analyse the potential of creating a new industrial design solution where sound design, form and interaction are combined. The results are presented with two- and three-dimensional materials with adherent sound demonstrations.
