About the course

This course focuses on how scientific research is made, communicated and managed. It investigates these information processes as social and cultural activities, highlighting that they are part and parcel of scientific practice. Themes addressed include: the process of scientific research; how this process relates to the communication and management of scientific information; how these differ between scientific fields. These themes are addressed through the science studies literature.

Required Knowledge

Bachelor's Degree in Library science or the equivalent. Proficiency in English and Swedish equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English B/6 and Swedish B/3 or the equivalent. (Swedish language is required if the course is taught in Swedish).
