The aim of the course is that the student should acquire good knowledge of the structure and reactivity of organic compounds, be able to utilize knowledge of organic reaction mechanisms to suggest synthetic pathways to simple organic molecules and avoid the occurrence of by-products. After the completed course, the student should furthermore be able to apply modern spectroscopic methods for structural determination and identification of organic compounds.
The course will be given in english if foreign students participate.
