About the course

The course will give advanced knowledge in genetics and molecular genetics and illustrate how this knowledge is used for analysis of expression and function of gene products. The course also offers training in evaluating scientific data and in studying and discussing scientific literature.

Required Knowledge

90 ECTS from completed courses containing at least 60 ECTS in Biology, including Cell Biology and Molecular Biology and at least 7.5 ECTS in each of Genetics and Microbiology; 20 ECTS from finished courses in Chemistry; documented practical experience of laboratory work comprising a minimum of 30 ECTS. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English B/6.
