About the course

The student shall under supervision conduct and report an independent research project at an advanced level. This means that the student should deepen his or her knowledge within one of the reasearch areas represented at the department. The course gives training in formulating research questions and hypotheses, planning a study, collecting data, analyzing and evaluating data, and report results in a written form an at a seminar.

Required Knowledge

Courses corresponding to 90 credits (hp) in cognitive science or equivalent, including 60 credits at an advanced level in cognitive science or equivalent. The courses in cognitive science can be in behavioural science, computer science, philosophy, linguistics or neuroscience out of which 7,5 ects must be in each of the five listed subjects and 15 ects must be in two of the listed subjects. 15 hp at the advanced level in methods and/or statistics is also required .

Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper Secondary course English A/6.
Where the language of instruction is Swedish, applicants must prove proficiency in Swedish to the level required for basic eligibility for higher studies.
