About the course

The course gives an introduction to Nordic museology. Museology is the study of the museum as phenomenon, and musealization as practise. The first part of the course gives an historic overview of museums in Sweden and the Nordic region. The second part focuses on the Nordic school of museology. It discusses the early developments as well as the current state of the field.
