In this course, you will be given the opportunity to improve your Swedish in terms of listening and reading comprehension, written language proficiency, grammar, oral proficiency and pronunciation. In addition to the language, the course also provides insights into Swedish society and culture. The language of instruction is Swedish. Do you not meet the eligibility requirement in Swedish and want to take an assessment test of prior learning? Do the following: 1. Sign up for the course. 2. The Department of Language Studies will invite you to a level test. 3. A passing result on the level test gives you the right to take the course. The level test consists of a written and an oral part. The written part includes a reading comprehension assignment where both vocabulary and grammar are tested, as well as a writing assignment of about 250 words. The oral part is a conversation between you and one of the teachers on the course. The level test is organized by the Department of Language Studies in the first week of June. If necessary, an extra level test is arranged in August, about a week before the start of the semester.
