Group psychology in theory and practice for the Masters Programme in Sports Psychology
8 credits
About the course
The aim of the course is for students to acquire in-depth knowledge of groups at both theoretical and applied level, applicable in various areas such as sports and health, clinical contexts and organizations. Initially, students are allowed to work with theoretical elements, both based on previous competence and in relation to various issues and contexts. The course then focuses mainly on different salutogenic and pathogenic processes in groups, methods for investigation and assessment, recommendations for interventions and different research perspectives in the field of group psychology. The students will largely be involved in practical group development elements, where the pedagogical approach is based on the PBL (Problem-based learning) perspective.
