About the course

The objective of this course is to understand how geographic information systems can be used to analyze raster data, in particular digital elevation models, using the software ArcGIS. Assignments are based on solving problems within ecology and Earth science by, for example, interpolating spatial data, determining stream networks and catchments, and creating least-cost paths.
