About the course

This course examines the popular literary phenomenon of Nordic Noir from an international perspective. The course literature contains works within the genre written by authors located within and outside 'the North,' which will be examined both as a place and an idea. The course consists of a shorter introductory module conducted in English, followed by a specialization module conducted in French.

  The medium of instruction is English. All communication is via the course learning platform. Access to a computer with broadband internet connection is required for participating in and completing the course tasks.   Eligibility Knowledge in English equivalent of English 6/English Course B from Swedish upper secondary school. Univ: At least 90 ECTS including 75 ECTS with academic progression (corresponding to level 61-90 hp in the Swedish academic system) in French, or equivalent knowledge.
