About the course

Independent investigation of a specific subject of study in English literature. The assignment is presented in English in the form of an essay of about 12000 words using generally accepted research principles for content, formatting and layout. The course also includes giving feedback on other students' essays. The subject choice is made in consultation with the supervisor.

The course includes three required seminars. Participation can occur via the internet; however, physical attendance at the final seminar is recommended.

Required Knowledge

Univ: 90 ECTS in English at first cycle, of which at least 15 ECTS consist of an independent scientific project, and 30 ECTS in English at advanced level, of which at least 15 ECTS consist of courses in literary theory and methodology, or equivalent. To be admitted to the course, all 120 ECTS must be completed.
