Engineering Applications in Classical and Modern Physics

  • Number of credits 4.5 credits
  • Level Bachelor's level
  • Starting Autumn Term 2025

About the course

The purpose of the course is to give the student an insight into how applications of classical and modern physics are used to solve technical problems in society. The course begins with an overview lecture that connects the areas of classical mechanics, modern physics, electromagnetism and wave theory. The connections are described with an overview of some selected engineering applications that will be discussed in detail during the course. For each engineering application covered during the course, the students are tasked with studying and researching selected references in the field. The course ends with a lecture where all engineering applications are summarized and linked to courses that are available in each area.
