The course is given in semester 4 of the Master's Programme in Fine Arts. The course includes the preparation, implementation, presentation and assessment of the student's own degree project, which is presented at the end of the semester at a public group exhibition.

Participation in the course assumes that the student is admitted to the Master's programme in Fine arts at the Academy of Fine Arts, Umeå University, and has obtained the grade Pass in all courses offered in the first and second term of the programme and in at least 25,5 credits of the courses offered in the third term of the programme.
