About the course

The course develops the student's understanding of how terms, working forms, market conditions and other conditions affect the organization. The purpose of the internship course is for students to have the opportunity to put prior knowledge and experience into applied business work. The student should in practical work test, develop and consolidate their knowledge and skills. The course also aims at developing the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others and to integrate previous knowledge and perform advanced tasks in an international environment.

The nature of the internship is planned individually. The goal is that the internship is stimulating, educational and challenging. Tasks can be of both operational and strategic nature.

The student will arrange the internship position on his/her own based on preferences and possibilities. The internship position and the internship plan must be approved by USBE. The student will specify the specific tasks together with USBE and the representative of the internship organization.

The practical supervision of the internship is developed individually between supervisor and student.

Required Knowledge

75 credits completed within the first to third semester of the International Business and Economics Programme, whereof 22.5 credits in Business Administration. Admission to the course also requires an approved internship plan. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English B/6.
