About the course
The course is given term 2 within the Master's programme in Fine Arts'. The course is based on contemporary art with a clear focus on the relationship between the artist and the different art worlds. In the course the student gets to meet different artistic contexts and through these investigate the relationship between his or her own artistic practice, contemporary theories, historical aspects and its connection to the various actors of contemporary art.
This course contains occasions that are included in a degree programme at Umeå university and applies only to those of you who are admitted to the programme. You will receive information about application times and what applies to you from your institution.

Participation in the course assumes that the student is admitted to the Master's programme in Fine Arts at Umeå Academy of Fine Arts, Umeå University, and has obtained the grade Pass in at least 25,5 credits of the courses offered in the first term of the programme.
