This field contains both basic and clinical research.
We are engaged in a range of projects using genetic analysis tools in order to understand disease mechanisms surrounding different neurogenetic-and eye diseases. We also study complex diseases such as type 2 diabetes, stroke and autoimmune diseases such as type 1 diabetes.
Our research is conducted in close collaboration with the laboratory of clinical genetics at the University Hospital of Northern Sweden.
