The authors suggest that either Grounded Theory or Qualitative Content Analysis can be used for research and evaluations in Public Health. Reflections and insights on epistemology, design, data collection and interpretation of qualitative research in general and more specific on Grounded Theory and Qualitative Content Analysis can be studied. In addition you can find one chapter with instructions on how to use the qualitative software Open Code 4.
We are pleased that our book "Qualitative Methodology for International Public Health" still is read and used as course literature. However, we are aware that the last few decades have changed the qualitative research landscape and that new methodological approaches have been introduced in public health research. Our Open Code computer program also has become somewhat outdated and in need of revision. Since it is a demanding task to produce a new edition of the book, we have decided to make a pdf version of the book available free of charge.
