The Master's Programme in Artificial Intelligence with a focus on Trustworthy AI provides you with the knowledge and skills to navigate the rapidly evolving world. AI is used today by governments, healthcare, society, business and industry. Understanding how the technology works and the ethical implications of its implementation is of utmost importance, especially given new legislation in Europe and elsewhere. Connected to strong research

During the programme, you will meet teachers who are themselves active and often internationally recognised researchers in artificial intelligence. The Department of Computing Science has a strong collaboration with researchers in fields such as medicine, mathematics, statistics, social sciences, education, humanities and law, which gives you excellent opportunities to gain insight into other perspectives of AI.

Specialise in your areas of interest

In two years, you will understand the core principles of AI and explore its capabilities, limitations and societal impact. You will learn how to create robust AI systems that take ethical aspects into account, and be ready to develop professional solutions that do not harm humans and society.

The master's programme is a collaboration between The Department of Computing Science and The Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. You have great freedom to choose the courses that interest you and need to expect a 40-hour working week. In return, your skills will be needed in many different sectors where you can choose between several advanced roles.

Examples of exciting careers that await are AI architect, AI product developer, data analyst, business intelligence specialist, AI ethics specialist or AI interaction designer. The connection to the research at the Department of Computer Science also provides a solid foundation for you to move forward as a PhD student and researcher.
