I am a One Health Infection Epidemiologist/Expert. I conduct research and teach epidemiology of infectious diseases at the human, animal, and their shared environment interface.

Christoffer Granvik is a medical doctor working in Johan Normark´s group. His work is focusing on long-term effects after COVID-19 infection.

PhD in Niklas Arnberg's group. Her research focus on enteric viruses.

Frida Jakobsson is a medical doctor working in Anne-Marie Fors Connolly’s group. Her PhD work is focusing on viral hepatitis and COVID-19, mainly in register-based studies.

My research focus on gene therapy in particular the use of viral vectors as vaccines and oncolytic agents.

Jyoti is IceLab Postdoc in Laura Carroll’s group. She is developing high-throughput, single-cell metagenomic sequencing methods, to be used to resolve the oral microbiome at the single-cell level.

I am Senior Professor and Principal Investigator for a a national multicenter study on biomarkers in colorectal cancer predicting risk for recurrence after curative surgery, the COLONODE-study.

Monika is a postdoc in Anders Sjöstedt’s group where she is studying the type VI secretion system (T6SS) of the pathogenic intracellular bacterium Francisella tularensis. 

How respiratory viruses, such as hantaviruses, parainfluenza, and RSV, interact with the lung microenvironment. ALI models are used to identify host susceptibility factors and antiviral strategies.

I am a postdoc studying cellular host factors involved in alphavirus replication.

I am a PhD student in Johan Normark’s group at the department of clinical microbiology. My research focuses on how Borrelia spirochetes interact with the human and murine complement system.

I split my time between clinical work as an attending physician in infectious disease medicine at Sunderby Hospital and research at the Dept of Clinical Microbiology at Umeå University.

I am an ‘EC’ postdoc in Constantin Urban’s group. I am investigating Saprolegnia’s disease in salmoid fish. The fungal infection causes significant losses in aquaculture industry.
