Access to samples and data at the Section of Biobank and Registry Support

The Section of Biobank and Registry Support administrates and conveys information about access to samples and data from several sample collections.

We recommend that researchers contact the Section of Biobank and Registry Support before writing the application for ethical approval. Please contact us as early as possible.

NSHDS

NSHDS is a prospectively collected biobank with survey data from ca 135,000 individuals in Northern Sweden.

Northern Sweden Diet Database, NSDD

NSDD is a database with questionnaire data on diet from the VIP and MONICA studies.

The Northern Sweden Maternity Cohort

The cohort contains over 126,000 serum samples from 91,000 pregnant women.

Biobank Deposit Boxes

The so-called deposit boxes are often sample series from individuals who are already sick.

The OMICS database

The OMICS database is a collection of GWAS data and other data collections generated from biobank samples.

DiabNorth

DiabNorth includes people with diabetes who have participated in VIP or the MONICA study.
