The interdisciplinary arctic research at Umeå University is rich and is conducted within all faculties. An important task for Arctic Centre is to unify and introduce these researchers and activities.
Our vision is that all research conducted within the Arctic and the North can be accounted for as Arctic research. In this perspective, Arctic research at Umeå University is conducted within all faculties and within a vast variety of research areas. Some of these areas are climate, environment, culture, history, tourism, economy, health, law, sustainable societies and medicine.
