Campus premises

Improvements and changes on the campus premises are constantly occurring. New buildings have been established and existing buildings have been renovated, modernised and expanded. In order to fully comprehend the size of the main campus, it fills an area of 235,400 m2. 

Funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU

The EU has established a temporary recovery instrument, NextGenerationEU. The investment will help repair the immediate economic and social damage caused by the covid-19 pandemic. Umeå University has as a part of Sweden’s recovery plan received SEK 25 million for the year of 2025  to increase the number of full-time students.
